The Child and Family Agency is committed to providing high quality services to children and families at earliest opportunity across all levels of need. Providing help to children and families early in the stage of a difficulty can prevent situations getting worse.
We know that if we invest in early support services, we can keep many children safe from harm. Working in partnership is a very important aspect of this work. We aim to work closely with families, other agencies, and professionals so that we can respond quickly to the needs of children. Early identification and provision of help by all of us at community level is in children’s best interests.
Family Support works in different and a broad range of activities that foster positive informal social networks through community-based programmes and services. The main goal of these programmes is to enhance and safeguard the health, well-being, and rights of all children, young people, and their families through early intervention. Simultaneously, special consideration is given to individuals who are vulnerable or at risk.
We have a designated Family Support Worker who provide practical help and emotional support to families.
This service is funded by Tusla Child and Family Agency.
The aim of our service is to work with families, to deliver programmes in the community and to develop individualised programmes to meet their needs.
Families and individuals in need of assistance might benefit from Family Support Services. Life in the family is not always easy. Birth, death, depression, redundancy, separation, disease, abuse, or financial troubles can place stress and strain on family life and relationships.
Family Support Services can be of assistance. Having someone to talk to about your situation can be the simplest approach to start dealing with it. There are various sources of support for adults, teenagers, children, and caregivers where individuals can share their experiences and offer support to one another. Domestic violence and child abuse are supported by specialised programmes. In most cases, Family Support services are delivered to families within their own communities and at home.
Your concerns are handled confidentially by practitioners who will provide the necessary support, guidance, and assistance.
The many programmes meet specific identified needs such as In-home Family Support, Parenting courses, one to one support for children and young people, group activities such as cookery, summer programmes, arts, and drama.
