Ukrainian Craft Group

The Ukrainian Craft Group at West Sligo Family Resource Centre (WSFRC) is a vibrant community initiative that celebrates Ukrainian culture through traditional crafts. This group comprises Ukrainian community members—Alla, Tanya, Irena, Lucy, Vita, Niema, Luda, and Olena—and local volunteers, including Catherine Walsh, Catherine Whittle, and Lauren. Together, they have significantly contributed to enriching the cultural tapestry of Enniscrone.

Key Activities and Contributions:

Bunting Creation: The group crafted beautiful bunting that adorned the town during events like the Enniscrone Events and Black Pig Festival, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
Handcrafted Wall Quilt Presentation: On September 14, 2023, they presented a meticulously handcrafted wall quilt to WSFRC, symbolizing their dedication to preserving and sharing Ukrainian heritage.
